Day 9: Ora por la iglesia – Pray for church

Luke 22:39

“He came out and went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples followed him”

We are people of habit, we go and do those things that are familiar, that feel good, and make sense at the moment. When I read this passage, I was not expecting other than what happened, the people who knew Jesus, who were close to him, who were concern about him followed him.

Two questions come to mind: When you are in distress do you walk alone or somebody tag along with you? Where is the place of comfort and tranquility for you?

Jesus, let me understand the responsibility I carry to walk with those in need, to walk with those in pain. Allow me to take on the responsibility to be part of some one’s journey as they walk to their Mount of Olives. Amen
